Experience this unique tour on your own, with a partner or a group of friends. This exclusive tour is ideal for those, who want to get to know Munich in a culinary way!
During this 4-hour tour with a Munich local, you will gain great knowledge about the centuries-old beer history of Bavaria, one of the leading beer regions in the world. A traditional snack board, topped with the most popular Bavarian delicacies, such as Obatzda (cheese spread), Leberkas (meat loaf), Gräucherts (smoked meat), Schweinsbraten (roast pork) and much more, as well as a fresh tap beer are included in the price - of course you can also exchange the beer for coffee or juice. However, beer is recommended, to really dive into the famous Bavarian culture and to maintain the local tradition 😉
Before we start with the beer tasting, we will visit the Beer and Oktoberfest Museum, which is located in a historical building, well worth seeing (built in 1340). During the museum tour you will learn everything important about the history of the beloved Bavarian beer and of course the world-famous Oktoberfest (d'Wiesn).
After the visit of the museum, we will finally get to the fun part of the tour ;) We will stop at two or three of the most popular brewhouses in the city, e.g. the famous Hofbräuhaus, the Löwenbräu- or the Augustiner Keller. For guests, who prefer something smaller and more quiet, I will be happy to recommend other adequate traditional taverns, which we can visit instead of the bigger houses. In the summer months, obviously the world-famous beer gardens are a great place to visit - we can also combine both and stop by a brewery and a beer garden. There are definitely plenty of opportunities and good beers – probably more than you could ever try ;)
As this tour is on a private basis, the schedule is quite flexible – I will make sure to find something everybody likes 🙂
