Discover the magnificent Chiemsee, including the famous Herrenchiemsee Palace, which is situated on an island and was built in the 19th century by the fairytale king Ludwig II of Bavaria in the style of Versailles. The royal time travel starts in the morning, with pick up at your hotel or private accommodation. Cool drinks and snacks will be waiting for you in a comfortable vehicle.
During our journey to lake Chiemsee, we will have enough time to chat and I will be happy to tell you interesting facts about our destination and my lovely home state of Bavaria.
As soon as we have arrived at the beautiful Chiemsee, we will hop on a boat and make our way towards the two picturesque islands – the Herreninsel & Fraueninsel!
After arriving on the Herreninsel, we will explore the magnificent Herrenchiemsee Palace, which was built in 1878 by the fairytale king Ludwig II of Bavaria as a copy of the famous French Versailles.
Leaving the bigger island behind, we will continue, of course still by boat, to the next stop – the Fraueninsel!
There, we visit the historical Benedictine abbey and stop for a delicious Bavarian lunch in a typical beer garden. Meal plus a drink of your choice is included in the tour price.
After we’ve discovered lake Chiemsee we will make our way home – back to the agreed starting point or hotel/accommodation!
