Your Journey Day by Day

Day 1: Neuschwanstein Castle, Hohenschwangau & The Bavarian Alps

Our adventure begins with a comfortable pickup from your Munich accommodation. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic drive south into the Bavarian Alps.

Soon the mountains rise in front of us as we arrive in the beautiful village of Schwangau, home to the world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle — King Ludwig II’s most iconic creation and the inspiration behind Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle.

Step inside this legendary castle and discover the fascinating story of Bavaria’s mysterious “Fairytale King.”

After a delicious Bavarian lunch with stunning Alpine views, we’ll visit Hohenschwangau Castle, the yellow palace where Ludwig grew up and first dreamed of building his magical castles in the mountains.

After exploring both castles from the inside and outside, we’ll check into our luxury spa hotel near Füssen, where you can relax with beautiful mountain views, enjoy the spa, or simply unwind after an exciting first day in the Alps.

The evening is free for you to enjoy the hotel or explore the surrounding Alpine village.

Day 2: Linderhof Palace, Ettal Abbey & The Zugspitze

After breakfast we continue deeper into the Bavarian Alps.

Our first stop is Linderhof Palace, the only castle King Ludwig II lived to see completed. Inspired by Versailles, this magnificent palace is filled with golden halls, elegant gardens, and the famous Venus Grotto, Ludwig’s private fantasy cave.

Before continuing to our next stop, we’ll enjoy a relaxing lunch break at a traditional local restaurant.

After lunch we visit the beautiful Ettal Abbey, a magnificent Benedictine monastery founded in 1330. Monks still live here today, and the abbey is famous for its traditional Bavarian liqueurs and beers.

Next comes one of the highlights of our journey — the Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain at nearly 3,000 meters.

A spectacular cable car lifts us high above glaciers and jagged peaks until suddenly the entire Alpine world opens beneath you, with breathtaking views across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and even Italy on clear days.

Along the way we stop at Lake Eibsee, one of Bavaria’s most stunning lakes, where crystal-clear turquoise water reflects the towering Zugspitze above.

Tonight we stay in a beautiful Alpine hotel in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery.
The evening is yours to enjoy however you wish.

Day 3: Alpine Lakes, Scenic Drives & Arrival in Salzburg

After breakfast we continue our journey east through some of the most beautiful scenery in the Alps.

Our drive takes us through charming Bavarian villages, rolling Alpine valleys, and spectacular mountain landscapes before crossing into Austria.

Around lunchtime we arrive in the beautiful city of Salzburg, birthplace of Mozart and one of Europe’s most charming historic towns.

After arriving in Salzburg, we’ll enjoy a proper Austrian lunch at a traditional local restaurant before heading out to explore the city together.

During our relaxed afternoon stroll through the Old Town, we’ll wander past baroque churches, charming historic squares, and lively streets filled with cafés, shops, and centuries of history.

Afterwards, we’ll check into our beautiful Salzburg hotel.

The evening is free for you to enjoy Salzburg at your own pace — whether that means exploring the Old Town further, attending a Mozart concert, or enjoying dinner at one of the city’s wonderful Austrian restaurants.

Day 4: Salzburg & The Eagle’s Nest

This morning we explore the highlights of Salzburg’s historic Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with stunning architecture and fascinating history.

After our morning in Salzburg, we will head south into the Bavarian Alps to the famous Eagle’s Nest (Kehlsteinhaus).

Perched high above the Obersalzberg region, the Eagle’s Nest offers one of the most spectacular panoramic views in the entire Alps.

After exploring the summit, enjoying lunch with an incredible mountain view, and visiting the Obersalzberg Documentation Center to learn about the complex history of the region, we will check into our mountain retreat in Berchtesgaden.

The evening is free to relax at the hotel or explore the charming Alpine town.

Day 5: Berchtesgaden National Park & Lake Königssee

Today we explore one of the most breathtaking landscapes in Germany — Berchtesgaden National Park.

The highlight of the day is Lake Königssee and Lake Obersee, often called the most beautiful lake in Germany.

We board a quiet electric boat that glides across the crystal-clear water while towering Alpine cliffs rise dramatically on both sides.

At the far end of the lake stands the iconic St. Bartholomew’s Church, one of the most photographed locations in the Alps.

After exploring this beautiful area we’ll enjoy lunch in a traditional beer garden surrounded by the mountains.

Later we visit the 500-year-old Salt Mine of Berchtesgaden, one of the oldest active salt mines in Europe, before strolling through the charming Bavarian town of Berchtesgaden.

Tonight we spend our final Alpine evening in a beautiful mountain hotel.

Day 6: Scenic Alpine Drive & Return to Munich

After a relaxed breakfast surrounded by Alpine scenery, we begin our scenic journey back toward Munich.

Along the way we’ll make a few beautiful stops to enjoy the landscape one last time and perhaps enjoy a final Bavarian lunch before arriving back in Munich in the afternoon.

A perfect ending to an unforgettable Bavarian and Alpine adventure.
