Day 1: Journey to Austria’s Most Beautiful Village

Our adventure begins with a comfortable pickup from your Munich accommodation. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenic drive through the breathtaking Austrian Alps.

As we approach Hallstatt, the dramatic Alpine scenery opens up to reveal one of Europe’s most famous views — the charming lakeside village of Hallstatt, nestled between towering mountains and the shimmering waters of Lake Hallstatt.

After arriving in the morning, we’ll explore the historic village center, wandering past centuries-old wooden houses, flower-filled balconies, and picturesque waterfront viewpoints that have made Hallstatt one of the most photographed villages in the world.

We’ll enjoy a traditional Austrian lunch at a local restaurant, savoring regional specialties while taking in the stunning lake views.

In the afternoon, we visit one of Hallstatt’s most fascinating attractions — the Hallstatt Salt Mine. Step inside a world older than the pyramids of Egypt and discover how salt shaped this region for thousands of years. The experience includes wooden miner slides, a subterranean salt lake, and fascinating archaeological discoveries.

Later in the day, you’ll have two wonderful options to complete your Hallstatt experience:

• Visit the Hallstatt Museum to dive deeper into the town’s 7,000-year history

or

• Enjoy a scenic boat cruise on Lake Hallstatt, gliding across the calm waters while surrounded by dramatic Alpine peaks.

In the evening we’ll check into the beautiful Heritage Hotel Hallstatt, a charming lakeside retreat located directly on the waterfront.

The evening is free for you to enjoy Hallstatt at your own pace — explore the quiet streets after the crowds have left, enjoy a cozy Austrian dinner, or simply relax by the lake.

Day 2: Hallstatt Skywalk & Alpine Views

After a delicious Austrian breakfast at the hotel, we begin the day with one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the Alps.

High above the village sits the famous Hallstatt Skywalk “Welterbeblick.” From this incredible platform, perched 350 meters above Hallstatt, you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views across the lake, the village rooftops, and the surrounding Alpine peaks.

It’s the perfect place to truly appreciate the beauty of this remarkable UNESCO World Heritage landscape.

Before leaving Hallstatt, we’ll enjoy one final traditional Austrian lunch at a lakeside restaurant, taking in the peaceful atmosphere of the village one last time.

In the afternoon we begin our scenic drive back through the Alps, returning you comfortably to Munich, Salzburg, or Berchtesgaden.
