Day 1: Salzburg – A City of Music and Majesty

Your adventure begins with a personal pick-up from your hotel or private accommodation. Step into a comfortable vehicle stocked with refreshing drinks and snacks—because every great journey starts with a little luxury!

In just two hours, we’ll arrive in Salzburg, the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. With its charming cobblestone streets, stunning baroque architecture, and a skyline crowned by the mighty Fortress Hohensalzburg, Salzburg is like stepping into a living postcard.

We’ll explore:

Fortress Hohensalzburg, perched high above the city with jaw-dropping panoramic views

Day 2: Hallstatt – Austria’s Hidden Gem

After a leisurely breakfast with river views, we’ll set off for Hallstatt, Austria’s most photographed village. Nestled between towering mountains and the serene waters of Lake Hallstatt, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is straight out of a fairytale.

We’ll start with a visit to the Hallstatt Skywalk „Welterbeblick“, a viewing platform that offers an unforgettable panoramic view over the entire lake and village—1,148 feet (350 meters) above the ground!

Next, we’ll head deep into history at the Hallstatt Salt Mine. With over 7,000 years of mining history, this is the world’s oldest salt mine, featuring underground slides, a subterranean salt lake, and fascinating insights into ancient life in the Alps.

Before heading back to Munich, we’ll enjoy a final lakeside lunch with breathtaking views—because no trip to Hallstatt is complete without soaking in its beauty one last time.

Fortress Hohensalzburg

After our arrival in Salzburg, we take the cable car shuttle to Fortress Hohensalzburg for some great pictures and knowledge about the history, then we walk through this beautiful castle with a tour inside. Your ticket includes: Skip the line, Cable car shuttle, Audioguide, Prince’s room access, Magical theatre

After our Fortress visit, we will enjoy a traditional Austrian lunch, which is included in your tour price!

Sacher or Goldener Hirsch Hotel

After our check-in (around 3PM) at our 5-star hotel and a little bit time for yourself, we will prepare ourselves for our next adventure – the old town of Salzburg

Salzburg Old Town

We’ll walk across the old town and stroll through the idyllic alleys. During this time we will stop by several sights. For example: Salzburg Fortress, Mirabell Palace and Gardens, Mozart’s Residence (Entrance ticket included), Salzburg Cathedral (Entrance ticket included), Getreidegasse, Mozarts Birthplace (Entrance ticket included), St. Peter’s Abbey and Mönchsberg Viewing Platform (Entrance ticket included). And yes, you will have enough time to take pictures of this beautiful city. After this experience the rest of the day is totally up to you – its your time! You can enjoy the hotel or explore the town on your own. We’ll see each other after breakfast on the next day – and yes, I’m looking forward too 🙂

After our breakfast at the Sacher or Goldener Hirsch hotel and our successful check-out of one of this wonderful hotels, we will prepare ourselves for our next adventure – Hallstatt!

Hallstatt Skywalk

After our arrival in Hallstatt, we will hop on a gondola which brings us up the montain to visit the Hallstatt Skywalk „Welterbeblick“ viewing platform. The view from up there is just breathtaking!

Day 2 / Stop 3 :

Hallstatt Salt Mine

We’ll visit and enter the famous salt mine. You will visit the Hallstatt salt mine including a guided small-group tour. Realizing that you are walking along the same paths trodden by prehistoric miners some 7000 years ago, and that people once lived here for whom an entire age of human history was named. Things you might never have guessed.

Day 2 / Stop 4 :

Hallstatt

After our Skywalk and Salt mine experience, we will explore the beautiful town on a walk through the center.

Lake Hallstatt / Bad Goisern

After all, we make a stop at a lakeside Restaurant – listed in the „Gault & Millau“. There, all participants get something delicious for lunch. Meal plus a drink of your choice is included in the tour price.

Munich

After our lunch, we will going back to Munich – approx. arrival time in Munich will be 6 pm. Drop-Off will be the same location like Pick-up on day one, unless your wish is different. For example Munich or Salzburg airport.

Can I customize my tour?

Certainly – If you wish, your private tour can be designed according to your interests, special ideas or particular focus – tailor-made themes or experiences are also no problem.

Can I change the pick-up and drop-off location?

Yes – This wonderful trip starts usually from Munich. However, in case your hotel or private accommodation is located in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Fuessen, Berchtesgaden, Salzburg or in between, please let me know. I might have to ask for a little bit more, but I’m more than happy to pick you up somewhere else.

Can the pick-up and drop-off location be different?

Yes – I can pick you up for example at Munich airport and drop you off after our adventure at your chosen hotel. I might have to ask for a little bit more, but I’m more than happy to make your adventure as comfortable as it gets.

Do you offer pick-up and drop-off service from the airport?

What types of vehicles are used for transportation?

Up to 3 guests are operated with a luxury SUV such as: a BMW X3, Volvo XC60 or similar.

Up to 8 guests are operated with a comfortable minibus such as: a Mercedes Benz Vito or similar.
