Servus, I’m Sepp – and if you think Bavaria is all about castles and mountains, wait until you see our lakes! On my private day trips and multi-day tours, I’ll take you to some of the most stunning waters in Germany – from the crystal-clear Königssee and hidden Obersee to the elegant Tegernsee, the royal Chiemsee , and the classic Starnberger See. Each lake has its own magic – and I’d love to share it with you.
Picture this: you glide across emerald-green waters on a boat, hear the echo of a trumpet bouncing off sheer cliffs, or stroll along a lakeside promenade where the Alps are reflected on the surface like a mirror. That’s the unforgettable feeling we’ll capture on my tours.
One of my absolute highlights is the Königssee in Berchtesgaden, with its dramatic fjord-like setting and the famous church of St. Bartholomä. Just a short walk further, the hidden Obersee feels like stepping into a postcard. Completely different, but just as charming, is the Tegernsee, where Alpine tradition meets laid-back luxury.
Of course, the Chiemsee is a must – known as the “Bavarian Sea.” Here we can visit King Ludwig II’s grand Herrenchiemsee Palace on an island in the middle of the lake. And if you’re looking for elegance close to Munich, the Starnberger See has long been a favorite escape for artists, kings, and locals alike.
On my multi-day tours , we take our time to enjoy these lakes at a slower pace, staying overnight in beautiful lakeside towns and discovering hidden spots that most visitors miss.
