Sepp’s Christmas Market Tours – Experience the Magic of Advent in Bavaria & Austria
Servus, I’m Sepp – and if you think Bavaria and Austria are beautiful in summer, just wait until winter! As soon as the first snow falls and the cities sparkle with festive lights, my favorite time of the year begins: the Christmas market season. And I’d love to show it to you.
Picture this: you stroll through snowy streets, the air filled with the scent of roasted almonds, mulled wine, and gingerbread, while every corner reveals little handmade treasures. That’s exactly the feeling we capture on my tours.
One of my absolute highlights every year is the Salzburger Christkindlmarkt. With the baroque cathedral as a backdrop, it’s pure magic – especially when the tower brass players perform and the whole square glows in golden light. You can easily lose track of time here.
Completely different, but just as charming, is the Berchtesgadener Advent Market. Here you’ll experience true Alpine tradition: traditional dress, fine crafts, and a cozy atmosphere that only the mountains can create. With snow on the rooftops and lights twinkling in the valley, it feels like stepping into a winter fairy tale.
Of course, the Munich Christkindlmarkt at Marienplatz is a must – the classic among Christmas markets, right in the heart of the city. And if you prefer something a bit smaller but just as delightful, I’ll take you to the Ingolstadt Christkindlmarkt, where everything feels a little more personal and relaxed.
